Secondary school applications close 31 October
If your child starts secondary school in September 2027, apply for a school place by Saturday 31 October.
Get a sharps bin or arrange collections of medical waste from your home.
We collect clinical waste for free from homes where someone is treated by a doctor or nurse, or treats themselves, for example with injections or dialysis.
Incontinence pads and stoma bags that are not infectious can go in your general waste bin, double-bagged.
You'll need a letter or prescription from your doctor, nurse or pharmacist that says you need the service.
Request clinical waste collections
We'll deliver your sharps bin or bags within 5 working days. We'll then collect every 2 weeks, on a set day we'll tell you. Leave your waste in a safe place out of sight, but where our crew can reach it.
If your sharps bin is full and you cannot wait, call 01632 960 000. Most pharmacies will also take a full sharps bin back.
