What to bring

You'll need proof that you live in Knowmoor, such as a council tax bill or driving licence.

What you can take

  • garden waste
  • electrical items and batteries
  • furniture and mattresses
  • paint, oil and household chemicals
  • small amounts of DIY waste, such as rubble and plasterboard

Charges

Household waste is free. There's a charge for DIY waste over 2 bags a week: £3 for each extra bag of rubble or plasterboard. Tyres cost £4 each.

Vans and trailers

You need a free permit to visit in a van or with a trailer, and you must book a slot for each visit. You can visit up to 12 times a year. Vans must be no longer than 5 metres and trailers no longer than 2.5 metres. You cannot bring waste from a business.
