If your child starts secondary school in September 2027, apply for a school place by Saturday 31 October.
Citizenship ceremonies
Book your British citizenship ceremony after your application is approved.
When the Home Office approves your citizenship application, you must go to a ceremony within 3 months.

You'll need your invitation letter from the Home Office.
Group ceremonies are held every Tuesday and are free. You can bring 2 guests. Private ceremonies cost £180.
On the day
Bring your invitation letter and your passport or other photo identity. At the ceremony you'll make an oath or affirmation and pledge, and get your certificate.
