Check if you can pay less business rates, for example as a small business or charity.

Small business rate relief

If your business only uses one property with a rateable value of less than £12,000, you will not pay business rates. Between £12,000 and £15,000, you'll get partial relief.

Retail, hospitality and leisure relief

Shops, restaurants, pubs, cinemas and gyms may get a discount on their bill.

Charities and community sports clubs

Charities and registered community sports clubs get 80% off. We can give extra relief up to 100%.

Empty properties

You do not pay for the first 3 months a property is empty, or 6 months for industrial properties.
