Our business team, Grow Knowmoor, gives free help to businesses of any size, and to people thinking of starting one.
What's available
- Free one-to-one advice from a business adviser on planning, finance, marketing and hiring staff
- Start-up grants of up to £2,500 for new businesses in their first year
- Growth grants of up to £10,000, covering up to 40% of the cost of new equipment or premises
- Workshops on topics like online selling, tax and employing people
- help to find commercial premises
Who can get help
Your business must be based in Knowmoor, or planning to be. Grants are for businesses with fewer than 250 staff. Some sectors, such as gambling and tobacco, cannot get grants.
