Who can adopt
You can adopt if you're over 21. You can be single, married or in a relationship, and own or rent your home. You do not need to be a UK citizen, but you must have lived here for at least a year.
Children who need families
Most children waiting are over 2, are brothers and sisters who need to stay together, or have additional needs.

An adviser will call you within 5 working days. The assessment takes about 6 months. After a child is placed with you, you'll get adoption support for as long as you need it.
