Most council decisions are made at public meetings. The cabinet makes most day-to-day decisions. Full council sets the budget and the main policies.

We publish agendas at least 5 working days before each meeting. We publish minutes and decisions within 5 working days after.
Go to a meeting
Anyone can go to a public meeting. You do not need to book. Meetings take place at the Civic Centre, Market Street, Knowmoor, KN1 1AA. Most are also streamed live.
Ask a question or present a petition
You can ask a question at full council or cabinet. Send it at least 3 working days before the meeting.
If a petition has 1,500 or more signatures from people who live, work or study in Knowmoor, it will be debated at full council.
