Secondary school applications close 31 October
If your child starts secondary school in September 2027, apply for a school place by Saturday 31 October.
Tell us about rubbish dumped illegally on streets, paths or land.
Fly-tipping is dumping rubbish on land that does not have a licence to take it. We clear fly-tipping from streets, pavements, parks and other public land.
Tell us where it is, what's been dumped and how much. Add a photo if you can. Do not touch it: it may contain something dangerous, and it could be evidence.
We'll clear it within 3 working days, or within 1 working day if it's dangerous, such as asbestos or chemicals. We look for evidence of who dumped it, and we prosecute when we can.
Do not approach them. Note the time, what they dumped and, if you can safely, the vehicle registration. Report it to us. If it's happening now, call 101.
The landowner must clear it. We can give advice, and still investigate who dumped it.
If you pay someone to take your waste, check they're a registered waste carrier. If your waste is fly-tipped, you can be fined. Read about bulky waste collections.
