Suspend a parking bay

Reserve space on the street for a removal van, building work or a skip.

You can ask us to suspend parking bays so you have space for a removal van, building work, filming or a funeral.

When to apply

Apply at least 10 working days before you need the space. We need time to put up signs telling people not to park there.

What it costs

It costs £45 for the first day and £20 for each extra day, for each bay. There's no charge for funerals.

Skips and scaffolding

You need a separate licence to put a skip or scaffolding on the road or pavement. Your skip or scaffolding company usually applies for you.
