Secondary school applications close 31 October
If your child starts secondary school in September 2027, apply for a school place by Saturday 31 October.
Tell us about potholes, damaged pavements, blocked drains and other problems on roads we look after.
You can report potholes, damaged pavements, blocked drains, broken signs, and anything else that makes a road or pavement unsafe.
If the problem is dangerous, for example a deep hole in a busy road or a missing drain cover, call 01632 960 000 now. Out of hours, call 01632 960 004.
The A64 is looked after by National Highways. Report problems on that road to National Highways.
Our map shows problems people have already reported, and what we're doing about them. If yours is there, you can follow it to get updates instead of reporting it again.
You'll need to show us exactly where the problem is, by putting a pin on the map or giving the nearest house number or lamp post number. Tell us how big it is and, if you can, add a photo.
You'll get a reference number by email. You can use it to track your report on the map.
An inspector will look at the problem and decide how urgent it is:
Not every report needs a repair. If the problem is not a risk to road users, we'll tell you why we're not fixing it.
You can claim for damage caused by a road we look after. You'll need the exact location, the date and time, photos of the damage and the road, and repair quotes or receipts.
Make a claim for vehicle damage
We'll tell you our decision within 3 months. We can only pay if we knew about the problem and had not fixed it in a reasonable time.
