Support for carers

Get support if you look after a family member, partner or friend.

A carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who could not manage without their help. You do not have to live with them, or be paid, to be a carer.

Carer's assessment

A carer's assessment is free. It looks at how caring affects you and what would help, such as a break, help with housework or emotional support.
