Get a licence to sell from a stall, van or barrow on the street.

You need a street trading licence to sell anything from a stall, van, barrow or table on a street in Knowmoor. This includes food vans and sales at events on the street.

What it costs

  • a 12-month licence: £850
  • a licence for a single day or event: £45

Food traders must also register their food business.

Apply

You'll need photos of your stall or vehicle, a map showing where you want to trade, and public liability insurance of at least £5 million.

We'll ask the police and highways team for their views. We'll tell you our decision within 6 weeks, or 10 working days for a single day.

Markets

To trade at Knowmoor market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, you do not need a licence. Book a pitch with the market office on 01632 960 011.
